Emotions and Feelings: Emotional Color Wheel and Feelings Through Texture

  • Alameda Elementary School 2732 Northeast Fremont Street Portland, OR, 97212 United States (map)

What’s on the agenda:

  • Emotional Color Wheel: students will create a color wheel that links each section to an emotion.  (Red could be "Anger," Blue could be "Sadness," etc.) We will discuss how certain colors make us feel and how emotions can be expressed through art.

  • Feelings through Texture: we will discuss how different textures (such as smooth, soft, or bumpy) might represent different feelings and students will create a collage that represents a specific emotion (happiness, calm, frustration, etc.) using textured materials.
